When did I buy a 1997 Triumph T595?
New member to the forum and new to Triumph ownership. So, I picked up on Sunday a nice 1997 T595 from a private sale. Rode the bike for about 40 mins and ran lovely and put a real smile on my face.
Why did the Triumph Daytona T595 lose its shine?
Understandable hyperbole from the weekly motorcycle press allied to final development being inexcusably completed by the first paying customers led to the machine and its image losing some of its shine.

A certain weekly paper claimed it would make 147bhp and blow FireBlades away without raising an eyebrow (the same imaginary power figure still appears next to the 955’s entry in the reviews section of their website….). Triumph themselves claimed 128bhp – slightly more realistic but still about 20bhp more than the reality.
Why does my Triumph T595 not smell of fuel?
If its not leaking fuel but smells of fuel, maybe the plugs aren’t firing and fuel is getting in your exhaust. Looks like you need to go back to basics – check fuel, plugs, spark, compression, etc. if its turning over there should be enough juice in the battery for it to run.

Why does my Triumph T595 have no spark?
If I remember correctly some of the triumph ecu’s were voltage sensitive when it came to starting to prevent starter problems, even though its cranking there may be no spark or insufficient spark to start the bike. Although the battery is “fully charged ” have you checked the voltage ?
Is the fuel pump in my Triumph T595 leaking?
Connected it up this morning and still just turns over and nothing fires. Can hear the fuel pump priming when the ignition is switched on. Have checked all the fuses and they look fine. The stench of fuel is quite strong but no signs of any leakages. Any ideas of what to look for next? “Should have stuck with Honda!!!”

Why does my Triumph Speed Triple stop running?
This is a reoccurring problem on some of the best bikes from Triumph, and the Speed Triple seems to have the same ignition pickup coil problem. Symptoms associated with this problem include the bike just dying or stops running when it’s hot, and then starts up again when it cools down. Here’s where things get a bit tricky.
