What time do Steam games unlock? During 2021 we have found that in most cases the majority of Steam games are released to the general public at 10AM PST. This is not a hard and fast rule though with Steam sometimes releasing some of the Big Name games at various other times (e.g. Midnight).
What time do games usually release on Steam?
Most Steam games are released at 10AM PST, as Sbr mentioned, which is 19:00 in continental Europe and 6PM in the UK. It’s not a hard rule as Steam sometimes does release games at midnight, but those are usually exceptions only made for “big name” games.
Can you change your timezone in Steam?
Yes but you can change that in the options of Steam, and its easy to change the timezone to Japan on your computer if thats what you’re coming at.

Just before a game’s release on Steam, on it’s store page it’ll say “This game will unlock in approximately **days/hours”. I know if you pre-order the digital copy of a Steam game, you can pre-load the game before release/”unlock”.
