After a few minutes, (maybe 10? not sure) the gauge went back up to 14VDC where it should be running. Again after a bit, it dropped back down to 13. Since noticing it Saturday, it has continued randomly dropping and coming back to 14.
How to diagnose an alternator or electrical problem?

What’s the voltmeter reading on my Silverado Sierra?
I just purchased a 2007 1500 nnbs with the 5.3L. Truck has 81k miles. The other day while driving the interstate, I noticed that the voltmeter was reading around 13VDC. I don’t have any service lights, so I just kept an eye on things while driving.
