The key moment to attack Argul is when his mace is stuck in the ground. DO NOT ATTACK HIM UNLESS HIS MACE IS STUCK. Doing so will only cause him to counter with his shield. If you have Exhume or Murder, use it when his mace is stuck and this will allow for a more powerful attack on him.
