What can I do with my Honda XR200R?
Another intake mod is replacing the stock filter with a bigger and more free-flowing air filter (Amazon). This will let that new air actually reach the carburetor and use it to make a little more power. If everything else is stock, you shouldn’t have to re-jet the carb because the XR200 comes rich from the factory.

Can you change the exhaust on an XR250R?
Modifications The XR250R comes pretty choked up from the factory. You can easily modify the intake and exhaust to get more performance. Exhaust baffle Remove the exhaust baffle or purchase a less restrictive exhaust baffle. There are two exhaust baffle designs – A1 and A2 (stamped on outside of end tip).

Is the XR250R a good bike to start?
My XR250R is starting pretty good still and I would estimate it has 400 miles on it maybe more all off road one enduro under it’s belt and mostly trail riding other than that, I have changed the plug once, just for the hell of it, and changed the oil regularly, runs fine and quiet too.
What kind of valve head does an XR250R have?
Both engines are SOHC 4 valve heads. (72 XL250 and XR250) My XR250R will smoke my XL250 and I think the 350 too! Thats funny, my vintage 250 is almost as fast as my XR400, which is punched out to a 440 with a Mikuni pumper.
