Historically I’ve spent most of my time in the 2600–2800 rpm range, so the 527 cams seemed the obvious choice.

What kind of grinds do chain drive cams need?
Cams that exceed the limits of the stock valve springs require the use of special high lift springs. Due to the high lift of these cams, S&S adjustable pushrods are recommended. Not all grinds are available in the chain drive version.
