What is Jacquard discharge paste?
(formerly “Discharge Paste”) deColourant is a ready-to-use printing paste for removing areas of color from dyed natural fabrics such as cotton, linen, silk and wool. Unlike bleach, deColourant removes color without jeopardizing the integrity of the fiber.
How do you use discharge paste?
Dip just the tips of a Stencil Brush into Discharge Paste and offload excess paste onto paper towels. Apply the Discharge Paste through the stencil using either a swirling or pouncing motion. Discharge Paste is a clear medium, so on some fabrics it can be difficult to see where you have stenciled.
How does deColourant work?
What is deColourant? deColourant is a non-bleach color remover. Once it has been applied to dyed fabric, it is activated with heat—either an iron, heat press or heat gun. After the color has been removed, the deColourant is washed out.
How do I bleach my GREY clothes black?
When you want to transform a black shirt into a gray shirt, bleach may accomplish the task. Spraying the bleach directly on the fabric in a well-ventilated area will give you control over the process, while hand or machine washing can cause streaks and blotches.

How do you remove color from RIT?
Instructions
- Pre-wash item in warm, soapy water.
- Fill a stainless steel pot with enough water for the fabric to move freely.
- When water begins to simmer, add one packet of Color Remover.
- Keep temperature at a low simmer.
- Wet the item you are going to be removing the color from and add it to the bath.
- Stir occasionally.
What Colour does GREY turn when bleached?
Lighter blues turn white. Purple will almost always end up pink. Most black shirts will turn orange or red. Gray and brown will usually turn pink.
What happens if you put bleach on GREY clothes?
It’s usually OK to put grays in the whites load with bleach. I would expect some small portion of the grey to be bleached out each time you wash, but my experience is that this is usually almost imperceptible.
