AS3X is Horizon Hobby’s gyro stabiliser system. It allows degrees of gyro control from full self righting panic mode to just a smoothing of humps and bumps, depending on how much correction is applied.

Priority = 75%, AS3X is 25% active with full stick deflection. Priority = 125%, AS3X is OFF before full stick deflection is reached.
What is gain in RC planes?
Think of Rate Gain as a shock absorber where it RESIST movement in any of the 3-axis of Yaw, Pitch, and Roll. Example you are flying and the plane gets hit with a gust of cross wind, and Yaws the plane. With Rate Gain will stop the Yawing effect of the wind.
Can you disable AS3X?
Each Flight Mode within Forward Programming can have AS3X and SAFE enabled or disabled. For all flight modes with SAFE enabled, AS3X should be enabled as well.
How do I program a Spektrum DXe transmitter?
Programming Conversion:
- Download the DXe application from SpektrumRC.com or from your mobile device (iOS or Android).
- Power on the transmitter.
- Open the DXe application.
- Connect the interface cable to the transmitter and the device.
- Use the application to program the Mode Change 1,2,3 or 4.

PCB Position: Whether your receiver is laying down horizontal, or standing up vertically. Switch Gyro CH5: This allows your Gear ch5 to become a remotely activated AS3X on/off switch. Alternatively you could just add 0’s to the gyro gains to completely shut off the AS3X and free up gear channel 5.

Can a as3x receiver be used as a replacement?
Receivers with SAFE technology are intended as replacements for specific aircraft and should only be used with that aircraft. Q- Neither the program or App will recognize my AS3X receiver.
