What is an intimacy doula?
A Sex Doula is someone that helps one reconnect with themself sexually by walking them through elements and styles of healing around sexual-spiritual health. A Sex Doula does not perform intimate acts with clients. However, they provide techniques and avenues to help to facilitate healing around sexual energy.

What do you love about being a doula?
As doulas, it’s our job to ease that transition and to keep in mind the family’s comfort and emotional needs. We play such a unique role on the maternity care team! Taking care of other families helps me to support my own family financially. That’s a total win-win.

The hourly rate can vary from $25 per hour to $110 per hour, averaging around $55-$60 per hour, and can be cheaper if in a package deal. While you’re a student, you need to attend births before you can become qualified.
Is a doula worth the money?
If you think you might want or need additional support and coaching in the delivery room, a doula could be a good choice for you. And if you have your heart set on a specific birth plan, a doula can be a good option because she’ll be your advocate if you’re having a hard time fighting for yourself.
