What does NO Bus mean on jeep cherokee?
A no bus appears on the dash and the engine does NOT run. This is your problem. A good majority of times, it is a failed (shorted) crankshaft position sensor causing this. Theoretically, any 5 volt engine management sensor can short and cause this problem, but the crank sensor is the most suspect.

Is there no bus, no gauges possible solution?
I’d like to offer my solution to the frustrating “no bus and no gauges” problem that I see is pretty common. I have a 2000 ram 1500 2X with the 5.9 automatic, however I believe that this is applies to all gen2 trucks regardless of drivetrain or engine type.
