There is a point where the rubber retains a memory of it’s position and it does not like going back once that happens. Depending on your mileage, you may be able to get assistance from Mitsubishi with this problem, as it is a known issue and they have been known to cover this at least partially, even if you are a little bit out of warranty by time.

Hi,When the raised rubber section of the dash begins lifting, your best bet is to use 3M double-sided tape. This generally has much better results than attempting to glue the pad back on, as no glue really has the thickness needed to bond the panel in large areas like this.
