What causes mitshiitty Pajero 2003 cutting out to stall?
Of course at a set of lights…. it starts and idles fine for approx 15-30sec.. then lose’s revs and stalls. if i attempt to restart the car it does not start just turns over… Leave it for 1min or so. turn it over again.. its starts… Same thing runs then stalls. it does not idel rough so no hint of issue.
What kind of idle problem does Pajero iO have?
OXYGEN SENSOR Had simmilar Problem on my IO 1.8 GDi DOHC A/T. Extremely low idle 250-300 Rpm, Hesitation on pull off and odd Missfire when in traffic with foot on brake and poor gas milleage. Runs smooth at high RPM’s.

What’s the problem with the oxygen sensor on Pajero?
It was as if I was treating the symptoms but not the problem. The OXYGEN SENSOR controls the fuel injection and if that is not correct there seems to be a domino effect with all the other systems that try to over compensate for this. New DENSO DOX-0341 Sensor from UK for half the price compared to Mitsubishi and problem fixed.

With a steady throttle, it fluctuated between 3 and 3.5 for a couple mins, then bogged out and stalled. Next time I started it, it went to 2k intially then started hunting between 1k and 1500, with about a two sec interval. After a couple mins, fluctuated around 750, but not steady.
