What causes a Polaris clutch to wear out?
Remember the Polaris clutches are made of mostly Aluminum and Magnesium components…so they are very susceptible to severe wear if dust, sand, belt debris is present…they abrasives. And a clutch will wear out quickly. As to the Dalton clutch kit.
How much does it cost to replace a Polaris clutch?
The clutch itself was bad. A local Polaris dealer put a new clutch in the machine at a cost of $800. So far this clutch is running fine with the oversized paddle tires on the rear. The local Polaris mechanic told me a clutch should only last about 150-175 miles then will need to be replaced just like a chain soroket on a motorcycle.
What kind of tires does Polaris Turbo take off?
Bought RZR TURBO take off tires 29″. Bought a Dalton clutch. Bought 28x15x14 paddle tires to ride in the dunes. Came back to Coos Bay started ridding and running through belts. 6 in 5 days. Removed the Dalton clutch went back to stock clutch and tires in the middle of those 5 days.
Why does my Polaris Ranger have transmission problems?
When this topic has come up in the past, it was suggested that the 2008 models had different mounts than the prior years. This was suppose to eliminate belts breaking and I assume this problem also. Is it simply wear and tear on the belt, or is it an alignment issue?
