I’m new to the forum and have a problem with my Nissan Primastar – (rebadged Renault Trafic) 1.9 DCI. Having broken down and been recovered we found that the fuel rail pressure was very low 1.8 bar.

Further investigation found that the fuel pump had failed. I located a brand new fuel pump on e bay and my mechanic friend fitted it along with a new timing belt kit. However the van will only idle roughly and erratically.

Mines the 2L Nissan engine and mechanic told me that renault were in conjunction with Nissan and that they would be doing the engines and electrics in future and renault would concentrate on the body and styling.
