Is there a passport for national parks?
A national parks passport is a small booklet that has pages to place stamps and stickers from each national park. Unlike a regular international passport though, it’s not used for entry to the park. Your national parks passport simply helps you document your travels!
How do I use my national park passport?
The program is simple. You purchase a passport book and then at each NPS unit you collect the passport cancellation stamp to mark the date and location of your visit. The only cost to visitors is that initial book purchase.

Can I add extra pages to my Passport? The Passport Explorer Edition (item number 327379) is a binder, so pages may be added to that through the purchase of the Passport Explorer Expander Pack (item number 329184). Unfortunately, extra pages are not available for purchase for the original Passport.
Does the National Park Service have an online store?

Why are passport stamps called cancellations?
Cancellation. Whenever you visit a national park, be sure to get your Passport cancelled. These rubber-stamp ink markings record the name of the park and the date of your visit, just like a real U.S. passport! The cancellations are free of charge and are attained at the park when you visit.

The U.S. passport book and U.S. passport card are both accepted as ID for domestic flights. The passport card cannot be used for international air travel, but it is still a great ID to have in your wallet. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) accepts the passport card as ID for domestic flights.
