What’s the problem with my Subaru Forester DPF?
Since then it’s been back to the dealer (Tynan Motors in Wollongong, NSW) three times for a Diesel Particular Filter issue. The issue is the car is supposed to show a solid light on the dash to tell me the DPF needs a regeneration so I can take it for a good drive for 25 mins at over 60km/h to do the regeneration (as per the manual).
What’s your normal operating temperature in a Subaru Outback?
Chili’s ’08 H6 has a gauge. It’s at 9 o’ clock after reaching operating temp. (Not much better than the light.) I so wish they would have put in a true temperature gauge instead of the useless fuel economy gauge. Meh. I has wagons. Funny how it’s late to the party. Click to expand… Yup.
How often should I Drive my Subaru DPF?
DPFs need to regenerate, and the best way to achieve this would simply be to go for a 30- or 40-minute drive on the freeway (20 minutes one way; 20 minutes back) once every two weeks.

Can a Subaru Forester be improved with ECU tune?
Bottom end and mid range performance can be dramatically improved with ECU tune. The engine is detuned (as subaru dont want it to beat the XT model) and also limited due to emisions requirements when delivered by the factory. Incredibly tough engine that when rallied by MRT never failed!
