What’s the problem with my Outlander 800 shaft?
I have a question about my newly acquired through shaft for my Outlander 800. The old shaft had a grove on the front end where a little split ring was. However, the new shaft doesn’t have the grove and after I tightened up the bolt that holds the yoke on, it still had play back and forth. It doesn’t move much but it does move.
What are the problems with an Am Outlander?
This will eliminate the common problem of factory bolts stretching and backing out causing clutch and belt box damage.
Why is my Outlander 4 wheel drive not working?
After a recent ride I discovered the 4 wheel drive would not engage. The indicating light comes on and off and there is no mechanical noises how ever putting it on jack stands it is not pulling. Any info or direction would be greatly appreciated.

How to fix a 2009 Outlander 800 4×4 problem?
Raise the rear end and start the bike . Engage 4wd and see if the front prop shaft will rotate with light throttle. If it does , your diff is smoked . If it doesn’t either the actuator isn’t engaging or ( like Bomb said ) your through shaft is snapped. Click to expand… Roger that, appreciate the help.
Why did my Outlander lose its 4×4 shaft?
The loss of 4×4 happened after I became EXTREMELY stuck a little while back. The old cv belt roasted and haven’t had 4×4 since. I have replaced cv belt and it moves no problem but 4×4 is a no go. Appreciate the advice and will check it out and see if the shaft came apart inside.
