Can a Yamaha outboard start in the Cold?
We are having issues getting the outboard started from cold. Once warmed up it’s one click to start, but when it’s cold it takes a good 5 minutes to finally ignite. Outboard has a 703 forward control, with a throttle advance but no choke.

Can a Yamaha outboard go over 1400 rpm?
No announcement yet. I have a 50 yamaha with 150 hrs on it. When I put it I the water, and put it in gear, I can’t get over 1400 rpms. Now if I just use the cold start lever it revs right up. There is a little red lever under air silencer.
