Is Super bulky yarn the same as chunky?
“Chunky” may be the least-regulated term used to describe yarn. It is generally understood to refer to a yarn lying somewhere in that gray range between Aran and super bulky, but it is often used simply as an adjective rather than as the name of a specific yarn weight.
What weight is ribbon yarn?
Another distinction is that Ribbon yarn is much lighter than t-shirt yarn. A big skein of Ribbon yarn usually weighs 250g (8.82oz) per 120m (131yds) when a big skein of T-shirt yarn usually weighs 700-800gr per 100-120m. Ribbon yarn is produced out of a great variety of materials.

Which yarn is finer 40s or 60s?
To look at it the other way, lower the count, the heavier and coarser it is. Thus 40s thread count yarn is coarser and heavier than a 60s yarn and so on.
Is Aran weight the same as chunky?
Chunky and Aran belong to different categories. Aran is a medium-weight, while Chunky is under the heavy-weight yarn. Chunky has almost twice the thickness of Aran.
