How to manually access and open the liftgate?
The manual open from outside the rear of the car also will not open the liftgate. How do I access the manual release of the liftgate latch to open it from inside through the rear panel of the door. I have opened the panel but can’t determine how to access the latch?

What to do if your lift gate won’t open?
Once you have the gate open you can test for power when pressing the open button. If you have power and ground then this will verify that the latch is the problem. Please reply to this if you need more help and we can continue this conversation. This does not have to be my only answer.

A blown fuse could cause this problem. Most likely this is a faulty latch in the liftgate. Since the ajar light is on this tells me the latch is the problem. Once you have the gate open you can test for power when pressing the open button. If you have power and ground then this will verify that the latch is the problem.
