What kind of trouble does a Polaris Ranger have?
It has no trouble codes. I have a 2014 570 Ranger Midsize with 5000kms on it. After riding for a couple hours it will suddenly loose power and backfires and then slowly stall out – sometimes I can keep it running by pumping the throttle but most of the time it just dies.
What should I do if my Ranger backfires?
You should take apart your air filter. hose down the outer foam, backflush the main air filter for a long time and make sure it’s free of dirt. allow to dry for 12 hours. while the air filter is removed, if you are in a clean environment, you can try running the machine and see if it runs properly.
Why does my Polaris Pro rider keep popping?
No surging, no hick-ups. When you rev it, it blows. It sputters, backfires, pops..you name it. Not so much sitting still but every time when under load. And it’s probably from 1/4 throttle all the way up. At WOT after a few seconds, it seems to clear out and then it screams but if I keep it there too long, it wants to start stalling out on me.
Where are the zip ties on a Polaris Ranger?
Passenger side, bottom of the motor. Check the wires down there also. If you cut all the zip ties where they have them bunched up around the t bodies you MAY be able to find your problem. Unplug them pull the loom back and stretch them out and look closely.
