How is Mobi-C inserted?
The Mobi-C Cervical Disc Prosthesis is implanted using an anterior approach. Patients should have failed at least 6 weeks of conservative treatment or demonstrated progressive signs or symptoms despite nonoperative treatment prior to implantation of the Mobi-C Cervical Disc Prosthesis.
How long is recovery from Mobi-C?
Each patient heals from surgery at a different pace. At first, you will have lifting. After your first post-operative follow up appointment, these restrictions will be readdressed by your surgeon based on your recovery progress. More complete recovery can range from 3-4 weeks.
How does Mobi-C stay in place?
The teeth are pressed into the bone with no bone cut out, which makes the Mobi-C design and technique bone sparing. The outside of the plates are sprayed with a coating (hydroxyapatite). This coating helps the vertebrae to grow and attach to the metal plates for long term stability.

Can you have MRI after cervical disc replacement?
MRI can continue to be used as the preferred technique when evaluating the cervical spine. In case of the Prestige ST, neither the adjacent nor the index levels were visualized on MRI.
