Why is my Honda TRX 350 es not shifting?
When I repaired my friends Honda TRX 350 ES Rancher, it was a broken leveling sensor located at the base of the engine in the front. It was broken in half and so it was not sending a signal to the ECU. So the ECU wouldn’t let the electric shift operate. When I replaced the leveling sensor, the electric shift worked great.

What to do if your shift sensor wont work?
Thanks TooDeep and Rich, you guys really helped me pinpoint the problem! I pulled off the cover to the shift angle sensor. The angle sensor was cracked in half! I put the pieces back together, put some electrical tape along the outside, and plugged it back in. I tested the shifter before bolting it back in… it worked!
