EPA regs require it. Yours is obviously still covered by the factory plug. On the left side of the carb there will be shiny machined plug in a port, that plug needs removed & the mixture screw accessed that way. Unfortunately a carb can not be cleaned without that screw removed. You will just need to go through the carb again is all.
