How do you open the gas door on a Nissan?
The fuel door release latch is located on the drivers side, to the left of the steering wheel under the dashboard. Pull the latch toward you to pop the gas tank door open.
Where is the gas tank lever?
To find the gas tank lever, look to the lower left of the steering wheel. Down slightly below the height of your left knee, you’ll find two small levers. One has a picture of the hood opening, the other has a picture of a fuel pump. Pull the latter, and the gas tank door should pop right open.
Why does my gas door not open when I pull the lever?
You may run into the problem when you pull your gas lid lever the door won’t open. The result of the issue could be a few different things but in our case the issue is that the spring to make the gas lid pop open is old and has lost the tension that it applies to the gas lid.

Then you should be back in sequence! if i cant get the fuel door open how would you recommend gixing the sequence, im almost out of gas lol and really need to get this door open, is there a manual way to do it? r u sure that the doors are unlocked first.

If it’s stuck, and not the cable/handle etc., then get someone to pull it open when you pull the lever (carefully). When I got my car at first I could not open my fill cover, and pulled it open while the wifey pulled the lever. Turned out the fill door was misaligned. If it is the cable, hmmmm….

How to open a gas cap that won’t open?
Step 1: Try to access the cable that triggers the lock behind the fuel door: If you have a cable operated lock, you might be able to open the door by removing the truck interior on the side where the fuel cell door is located and manually pulling the cable until the door “pops” unlock.
