Museum Hours The Uffizi is open Tuesday through Sunday, 8:15 am – 6:50 pm. Every first Sunday of the month, the museum follows normal opening hours and entrance is FREE for everyone. No pre-booked tickets are sold for those dates. The museum is closed: every Monday, January 1, May 1, December 25.

This is a bit of a walk to get to, but the Pitti Palace is worth going to. Lots of stairs so be ready, I think there were 3 or 4 double sets to go up (and down) to get to the apartments.
