What should the tire pressure be on a Softail?
Use a high quality tire pressure gauge to get accurate readings for your tires. Tire size is really important on your Softail. The standard should be a 130 on the front and rear; however, many owners get a wider rear tire (140 to even a 150, or up to a 180).
What kind of tire do I need for MY 08 fxstbi?
Came stock with a 130mm width tire. A 140mm tire would probably fit with no mods. My 08 FXSTBI came with a 200. If you are wanting to go to a wider than your stock tire go with a 180. NOBODY I have ever talked with got any kind of decent wear from any brand 200 on any bike.
