We have a 2005 V50 and have found that 1/2 of the time when you turn on the radio no sounds comes out (either radio or CD) . This happens equally whether you turn the radio off before the car or just leave it on when the car is off. You have to turn off the car and restart it to get the sound back, but that only works once in awhile.
