Is there a problem with my C230K Coupe?
Past: 83 380SL, 03 C230K Coupe, 15 C250 Sedan. When this problem started years ago, the roof opened all the way and I had to manually shut it. I learned then that the roof and sunshade can open but not close. For the last year, I would open the sunshade only, but not to the max open position, because that is where it gets stuck.

Once you reach the fully open position, continue to HOLD the sunroof switch in the OPEN position until hear a click. If you don’t hear the click make sure to hold the switch for up to 5 seconds. Next, close the sunroof and again hold the switch for 5 seconds when you reach the closed position Check if the problem has been fixed.
Is the sunroof connected to the roof panel?
I don’t know what the regular sunroof layout is, but most models that I’ve seen (VW, Audi) always have the panel you can remove to access the motor that drives the roof panel so you can crank it shut in case of emergencies. If I was you, I’d first open this panel leaving the sunroof switch connected.

Can a panoramic sunroof get stuck after a battery change?
The panoramic sunroof can get desynchronized , stuck open , stuck closed quite easy after you replace the battery or do some work on other electric components . The most important things is not to replace parts that you don’t have to replace so hopefully this video will be helpfull.
