Just slip-ons are okay with out a tuner. The cat in the head pipe is very restrictive. If you change the air cleaner also then a tuner will be needed.

Adding a tuner like Chad mentioned allows you to adjust the factory air/fuel ratio to get a better running bike even if it’s stock.

But it depends on your priorities and plans for the bike. If you are going to do cams, heads, jugs & pistons, etc. fairly soon, a race tuner and DYNO time may be a good option for you. If you are gonna do a full Stage 1 and then enjoy the ride, a fueler or the download may be all you need.

I BOUGHT A NEW HD STREET GLIDE SPECIAL. ON THE BIKE IS A UP TO DATE AIR CLEANER AND A SET OF SCREAMIN EAGLE PIPES AND THE SYSTEM WAS MAPPED. DO YOU THINK THAT I SHOULD RE-MAPP WHEN I GET A NEW SET OF SLIPP -ON’S?
