Can you shift to park but gear indicator does not?
Not open for further replies. I can shift into Park however the Gear Selector Indicator will not indicate Park (by illuminating the P) and since the truck can only start in Park or Neutral I have to shift to Neutral to start.

In this case, you just loosen the linkage at the tranny, manually place the tranny in PARK, make sure the lever is also in PARK, and tighten. Gee, Guys.
