Can you clean the throttle body on a Subaru Outback?
As noted in a previous thread, I recently cleaned the throttle body on my 1998 Subaru Outback… the Subaru dealership recommended this as a part of their 150,000 mile service, but I was unwilling to pay $500 for the entire package, so I opted to do as much of it as possible myself.

What are the gauges on a 2015 Subaru Outback?
The Premium and Limited models have the same display with white numbers and needles. The 2.5i base model has white numbers with red needles. What kind of engine does a Subaru Outback have?
All Subaru Outback models now come with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), while engine choices still consist of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder or a 3.6-liter six-cylinder.
Do you remove the blade on a Subaru Outback?
The bolts themselves were set so that you could only orient the sensor body one way on the TB. I didn’t remove the TPS. What I DID do was remove the blade to clean and to gain better access to the mouth of the TB (the mouth faces the windhshield such that you almost have to stand on your head in the engine compartment to be able to see inside).
What do you need to know about throttle body warning?
For example, I’ve still got the fuel filter to replace, radiator to flush, automatic transaxle and rear differential fluids to change, and mass air flow sensor to clean… but I SURE can’t afford more trips to the mechanic to repair “factory settings”!!! I’m wondering…did you remove the TPS sensor?

A total of 228,648 U.S. vehicles will be affected. Owners will be notified Dec 2018 by mail. code WTW-82 Electric Parking Brake (EPB) actuator assembly will be replaced on all 2010-2014 Legacy and Outback vehicles equipped with a manual transmission so they don’t roll away.
