Are there any problems with the CVT on a Jeep Patriot?
I have a 2008 Jeep Patriot with a CVT transmission. The car was recently purchased and seems to have problems with slippage. When I accelerate, the car revs up highly, the tack goes to nearly 4k but the car does not accelerate in unison. Also, going up hill seem to challenge it. Seems like its slipping.
Where can I replace the transmission on my Jeep Patriot?
Every place I call here in West Michigan (including the Nissan dealer) will only replace the transmission. All that being said I will be needing to find a cheap used/salvaged transmission to keep costs down.

Why does my Jeep Patriot make a noise?
One of the plastic rivets was kinda loose, and the cladding was making the noise. Once I secured the rivet, the noise stopped. It did sound to me as if it was the suspension at first. I believed the lower cladding pieces are the same on the pre 2011 Patriots as on the current ones.
