Are there any problems with the C9 engine?

The main issue I have seen with C9 engines are the injectors. They are very sensitive to debris in the fuel system. The injectors just can’t handle much dirt or debris at all. The engine will begin to lose power slowly if the fuel system gets contaminated. Also, there are issues with the HEUI pump as well.

Which is better a C9 or a Cummins?

Also, the C9 that I looked at only had an exhaust brake whereas the Cummins ISL will have a true two stage engine compression brake, which generates much more braking horsepower than an exhaust brake. Finally, the Allure is a much nicer coach than the Inspire.

Is the inspire a 400HP Cummins or a 400 cat?

The Allure as a 400hp Cummins with 1200 #’s of torque, the Inspire has a 400hp C9 Cat with 1100 #’s of torque. I care about accelleration, but even more about keeping up speed on long hill climbs.
