Are MGP bars oversized?
The MFX Aero Alloy Bar is a super lightweight alloy oversized bar coming in a huge 24” wide by 25” tall. The MFX Aero Alloy Bar can be run on both SCS and IHC compression systems. Thick sidewalls and gussets ensure these bars will stand up to the abuse dished out by todays pro riders.
Do SCS bars fit HIC?
HIC Compression is compatible with any HIC/SCS fork. You can also use an ICS fork with a little modifying by cutting off the forks ICS topcap and installing the starnut, but as you know, starnuts are not the strongest. HIC Compression is only compatible with steel oversized diameter bars. No aluminum bars will work.
Can you use oversized bars with IHC?
Answer: You might technically be able to get oversized bars to fit IHC by using the IHC shim and the HIC shim, but that would create a very unstable system. I do not recommend going with this method. If you want to use oversized bars, you need a standard fork and HIC or full-size SCS.

What size are oversized scooter bars?
Bars are available in two main diameters, standard and oversized. This sizing refers to the external diameter of the downtube that joins onto the rest of the scooter. Standard bars have an external diameter of 31.8mm while oversized bars have a diameter of 34.9mm.
Can you run SCS with a slit in your bars?
Answer: There’s nothing you can do. You have to cut the slit off if you want to use it in an SCS clamp, otherwise it will never tighten completely.
What bars fit SCS compression?
SCS stands for Standard Compression System. You can use them with steel standard-sized bars and some even fit oversized steel bars and aluminium scooter bars. SCS compression doesn’t require a slit, which means there’s no risk of the bars snapping above the clamp.
Do you need oversized bars for IHC?
To be installed including a top cap and bolt for the actual compression mechanism to work. HIC can only work with oversized bars adding to the strength of larger/heavier scooters in the market. HIC/SCS forks are thicker than IHC, adding to the overall strength.
