Unhappy DRZ400 owners are few and far between, I’ve yet to hear about one. There are a few mods which make a good bike better. Especially with the S model. For dirt, DOT knobbies are a must, also here in the northeast lowering the gearing is helpful.

I got a DRZ400EK and it’s running a KLX muffler (long story). Anyways, here you can get a street legal EK model Suzuki (as well as the “s”), but Kawasaki don’t offer a street legal version.
