Why is the transmission fluid leaking in my Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Tl- the contact owns a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving 50 mph, the contact applied the accelerator pedal but failed to respond. The contact stated that when pressing gas pedal the vehicle started slowing down without warning. The contact pulled to the shoulder of the road.
Why are the cooling lines on my Jeep leaking?
Like a steam leak. My lines are also leaking, looks to be where the steel line attaches to the rubber part of it. Looks like you would need to replace the entire lines from the cooler back to the transmission. I’m guessing this would be a dealer only replacement item. Anyone have any idea if this is so?
When to replace Trans cooling lines in Jeep?
Just ordered replacement lines from the dealer, should be in Tuesday. Then just to set aside the time to tackle this. Thanks for the tip 2005JGC. Just to let anyone know if you replace the factory lines you will need a special tool to remove the lines as they have spring loaded retainers holding them on.
Is the Trans cooling line leaking at the radiator?
Yes they are leaking at the compression fittings in the engine compartment. I found a guy who made his own fix. He cut the fittings off and reconnected the hoses with regular hose clamps and he said they have been dry for a year now. I can’t find the post anywhere now.

Transmission cooler/condenser leak causes loss of tranmission fluid but you can’t check the fluid level because there is a tamper proof cap on the transmission fluid level dip stick. Transmission got hot, truck slipped gears and loss of forward momentum control.
