Why is the starter not working on my MG6?
It is the live switch connection on the starter motor, it is a common problem inherited from the K series. Between the bulkhead and the back of the engine, low down you will see the heavy cable connecting the starter motor to the battery, it is not this one!

If the light illuminates at any other time or fails to extinguish after start up, an airbag restraint system fault has been detected, then an audible warning will be given when the engine is started.
