Just bought a used Lexus SC 430. Drove it 550 miles home and parked it for a week and now it won’t start. Car was to be a gift for my mother’s 70th and it is sitting in my garage like a paper weight. I’ll turn the auto- lights off and look at a trickle charger after I change this battery.

My 2003 SC430 has the same problem. It is really bad in the winter, if I do not drive it everyday. I heard somewhere it has to have Lexus battery, does anyone know if this is true? Are there run flats on a Lexus SC 430?
Run flats are extremely hard and tend to wear funny and without directional tires, you can rotate them properly and remove the cupping that wears into the tire and remove the edges and road noise.. 7 people found this helpful. yeah, the run flats I won’t buy, but I didn’t even think of the obvious with the directionals.. thanks man.

By the time your convertible top stops working, the leaks should be easy to identify. Inspect the hydraulic lines. Make sure they are tightly connected. The hoses should not be cracked or leaking. Address any leaks that you may find at the pump, cylinders, or solenoid. Replace any damaged or leaking o-rings.
