Why is the centre diff light flashing on my Pajero?
The centre diff light of my Pajero was flashing this morning. I was driving on the N1 at the time. It was in 2H at the time. After switching off the ignition, the centred diff light stopped flashing and the little green wheels were back. I spent most of Easter weekend on the West Coast doing some sand trails.
When to turn off centre diff lock on Pajero?
You must at least once a month drive in 4×4 WITH centre diff lock enabled. Just drive on any gravel road at 10km/h for at least 500m to get the muscles loose again. Good day guys. My 2002 did swb pajero has also now had this issue of tc light flashing after a short trip on the hiway. And then going back to normal once i turn it off and back on.

Why does my Pajero transfer box light go out?
Obviously not serious as the light went out later, so most likely a vacuum leak or lack of vacuum from a sticking valve. It should be fine, if it does this more often, have the vacuum switches replaced, and or possibly the rear switches (2) on the back of the transfer box.

What does blinking center diff light while vehicle on the move mean?
Re: Blinking Center Diff Light while vehicle on the move. The pajero has a limp mode for when there is an issue with the 4×4 system. The ECU apparently limits the vehicles capabilities until the problem is fixed. By turning the car off and on again you are reseting the fail-safe until it again triggers.

Assuming it’s a Mk 1/2, the green lights are flashing because the system thinks that the front axle freewheel unit is still engaged and is trying to disengage it (or vice versa). The system is operated via vacuum created by running engine (for petrol models) and is controlled by switches and electric solenoid valves.

Hi, I own a Mitsubishi Pajero make in 2008. Just a few days ago the Center Differential light on the dashboard (between the speedo & RPM meter, which shows the status of the 2H & 4WD status. The center diff light in orange is blinking.

Just a few days ago the Center Differential light on the dashboard (between the speedo & RPM meter, which shows the status of the 2H & 4WD status. The center diff light in orange is blinking. This situation only happens while driving or cruising on the highway or when driving last more than 30 minutes, which is not a long time.

The top pair of green lights flash briefly at startup but that is just an ECU start up check. If 4wd is properly selected and all the sensors are playing nicey, all four green lights are lite, and should not be flashing. Most often the flashing light problem is an easy fix, primarily it happens because the 4wd system has not been regularly used.
