Why is the AC not coming on on my Murano?
The AC relay is built into the IPDM and can not be jumped if that is what you are trying to do. If the Ac compressor is not coming on, the most common reason is low on freon. The AC pressure sensor is what tells the computer if it’s safe to turn it on.

Nissan Mechanic: Jay, Nissan Technician replied 4 years ago The AC pressure sensor is located on the Receiver dryer. If you have that many years of experience, you should know the first thing you always check with a AC concern is to make sure the freon level is correct in the system.
Can a low oil level cause a compressor to fail?
A low oil level can starve the compressor for oil and lead to compressor failure. CAUTION:Do NOT overfill the the A/C system with too much compressor oil. Too much oil can hurt cooling performance. Use the following guidelines for replacing compressor oil when changing A/C components: Compressor………1.4 oz Condenser……….1.0 oz

How much oil do you need for a compressor replacement?
A compressor replacement only needs very little, maybe 6 to 10 ounces or so – Get better more accurate info via tech manual etc. Again – more oil is not necessary better. To much (over charge) refrigerant R134a is also not good.
Can You overfill an A / C compressor with too much oil?
CAUTION: Do NOT overfill the the A/C system with too much compressor oil. Too much oil can hurt cooling performance. The total amount of oil added to compensate for parts that have been replaced should NOT exceed the total oil capacity of the system.
Can you use mineral Oi L in an A / C compressor?
Mineral oi l should only be used in older R-12 A/C compressors because R-12 will not mix with R-134 refrigerant. “Universal” A/C compressor oils are often PAO-based and are not the same viscosity as the PAG oil recommended for a specific type of compressor.
