Why is my Trans fluid and filter not moving?
I bet the filter didn’t seat all the way in and is now not pulling any fluid from the pan. If you pull the pan off and the filter is in it then that is the problem. Otherwise the NSBU switch may not be in the correct position or cracked the sensor. Re: Changed trans fluid and filter-now won’t move! What’d I
What should I do if my Trans fluid comes loose?
Yeah,, drop that pan again and have a good look,,Make sure you got the old filter gasket out of there and use the new one. Check the linkage before putting pan back up there. Make sure all wires are out of the way. Like what was said earlier, if that filter came loose and is sitting in the pan,,, won’t pull oil up into valve body!

When to change Trans fluid in a Sierra?
Changed trans fluid and filter in my ’99 NBS Sierra yesterday. It’s still on the ramps as the idle drops when I put it in gear, but the engine only revs and doesn’t engage. I removed the shifter bracket when I removed the pan……….it seemed to go back without issue.
How to change Trans fluid and filter now?

What to do if your transmission fluid is burnt?
If there is no cold range in the dipstick, it is important to indicate transmission fluid on the dipstick. Transmission fluid should be pink in color and almost clear. IF the transmission fluid looks burnt, dark, or has metal shavings, have an auto mechanic diagnose and, if necessary, change the transmission fluid.
