Why is my Polaris 4×4 not working in reverse?
The front diffs are very finicky when it comes to the fluid and cleanliness. I tore mine completely apart (not a bad job at all with an extra set of hands) and cleaned the living hell out of it and re-assembled. Then added the correct amount of Polaris Demand Drive fluid.
Is there a reverse override button on a Polaris ATV?
There is a reverse override button on left handlebar. Holding it in allows AWD in reverse as well as disabling the speed limiter. Be careful with full power in reverse. :shocked1: Dummy me didn’t read you other post first.

If you’re going down a steep hill…at the crest…put the ATV in reverse and press the yellow button. Jam the throttle to spin the rear tire to engage 4WD, and hit brake not releasing the yellow button. Now put the ATV in Low and continue holding the yellow button. This will force it to stay in 4WD.
