Why is my Jeep Cherokee stuck in first gear?
Two weeks ago the jeep was stuck in first, and after driving for about 15 minutes at 10 mph at 2500 revs, it finally clicked into second gear and no more problem. Took it to a mechanic who serviced the vehicle and replaced the transmission governor sensor.

Turn ignition key ON and OFF three times, finally leaving the key in the ON position. Leave the Overdrive Off Switch in the normal overdrive (ON) position. Immediately begin counting the number of flashes displayed by the Overdrive Off Switch indicator lamp. There will be two sets of flashes, separated by a pause.

For the most part, it drives fine, but it has done this twice in as many days. No CEL/MIL have came on. For the heck of it, even though no lights came on, I used my scan tool and pulled codes: P2767 and P0710. Very strange, since no CEL came on! I do not know if these are old stored codes, and I’m leaning towards they are not.
Is the 05 5.7 Magnum modded the same as Jeep?

UPDATE: Problem Solved!! The lead frame assembly, containing the input speed sensor and a few other sensors, had to be replaced. The lead frame assembly contains wires and a circuit board. The valve body had to be removed, so obviously this involved a trans filter and fluid change, too.

When I went to drive my 06 WK, 3.7, 4×4 and as I began driving, I noticed the rpm’s climbing and it did not shift, and seemed like it was ‘stuck’ in whatever gear it was in. The ‘autostick’ had no response either.
