Why is my Jaguar TB out of phase?

Why is my Jaguar TB out of phase?

By the sounds of it Jaguar still have a cable but that runs to a pot on the TB. I wonder if unmetered air could be getting into the induction side of things and the lambda sensors sense a lean mixture and then try to close the TB to get the right burn mixture and by doing so the TB is then out of phase with the throttle pedal position ???

Why is my throttle body not working on my Jaguar?

First thing done was to change the connector pins to gold plated, didn’t work, so the throttle body was sent for refurbishment. They couldn’t find anything wrong, so it was returned and re-fitted. After discussions on this forum, the TB was replaced with a new Jaguar part.

What to do if you have throttle body problems?

Most were flagged up during self-check, but 2 were unusual – clear self check, start engine, evrything ok. Pull the gear lever into reverse – fail safe mode. As the orange engine had come up on the speedo, indicating that it had logged a fault, I booked it in to the garage for the next Monday.

How long has my JAG been in service?

Looked after by a local independant Jag specialist for the last 5 or 6 years. 83,000 miles, the car has been well maintained and serviced throughout its life, no skimping, only Jaguar parts used, things get replaced when they show signs of wear, without waiting for them to get to the stage of having to be replaced.
