Why is my Honda Accord not locking the door?
The hood switch is a common one. Any door not closing properly could cause it. Some setup in the user manual could cause it. A door not locking could cause it. No simple answer for the problem so check with your dealer. I would take it to the dealer but it’s not possible.

Check the dash for an open door indication. Yes… checked that all five doors were closed… opened and slammed down the front hood and still the same problem. The doors lock but there’s no confirmation, therefore not sure if the alarm is activated or not. Why not just take it to the dealer.

JOHNNYCANUCK your symptoms sound like the hood latch as this is what was happending with mine the alarm went off at crazy hours and i ended up unplugging the hood latch wire no more alarms at odd hours till i brought to the dealer for replacement. Although i still don’t have chirp (which i forgot to mention to them, grrr).
