Why does the instrument panel dim when driving?
We have noticed several times when driving the the instrument panel will dim to levels where you can’t really even read the spedometer anymore. It seems to only occur during daylight, and might be related to changing lighting conditions (coming out from tunnel or bridge or something). So, i think its related to the automatic headlights.

1. Cut the wires of the connector approximately 45 mm (1¾ in) from the connector and splice in the service pigtail connector. Is the odometer on an Lt a computer control?
FYI: The odometer on an LT also has all the computer controls for the truck. Have sent it off for a rebuild, and also getting new LED lighting with a lifetime warranty. Re: Dash lights are dim during the day. Are they replacing the stepper motors at the same time?
Can a dimmer light be used in the daytime?

Airplanes being built from kits will probably be furnished with an aluminum blank intended to be used as an instrument panel and, possibly, a suggested typical layout for the instrumentation.
