I had this same thing happen to mine around 90k miles. Turn the key and rapid clicking noise and wouldn’t crank. Push started it for the rest of the week and took it to the dealer.

Why is the starter not working on my truck?
In the fuse box there is a group of five relays. There is a row of three on the bottom with two above. The center relay in the group of three in a line is the starter relay. If it’s goofing up there might not be enough power going to the solenoid. Older truck though so it indeed could be the starter.
