Why does my KTM Super Twins make a knocking noise?
Mine now has the drive chain adjusted correctly but this has made no difference to this noise and I can induce it anytime by loading up the motor below 3500rpm. If it is the cam chain that is making this noise then its jumping around enough to hit something that it shouldn’t !

My SMT has been making a knocking/clacking/rattling noise for a long time. It has 65.000 km now but it started doing it when the bike had between 20.000 and 30.000 km. I was scared for the engine at first but a mechanic told me it was the cam chain.
Why does my KTM LC8 make a knocking sound?
The cam chain tensioner is supposed to tension the cam chain and I would doubt that is using all it range of movement in normal operating conditions so the jamming when fully pushed in should not be the issue although if it was my brand new bike it would be. The key thing to establish is “Do all LC8s do this” ?
How to lower the front of a KTM?
Installation of a steering stem extender and spacer collar under top triple clamp, this moves the top triple clamp up 22mm. slide the forks up and another 10mm throught the top clamps, this will give 32mm same as the rear.
