Why does my Jeep make a high pitched whistle sound?
I have a 2011 Grand Cherokee and my blower motor just started making the high pitched sound like a jet engine. I have about 77000 miles on it. It started after returning to cold weather after being in Florida for a few days. I took the cabin filter out and the noise was still there, so it wasn’t due to that.

Also took out the glove box which you do not need to do. Only three screws (torx t20 bit) holds the blower motor assembly in place. You also have to pull the power plug off the motor assembly. The new motor assembly (carquest brand from Advanced Auto) had a pigtail to a connector that plugged into the power connector.
